Prebberede: Hotels and Accommodation
The historic character of Prebberede is reflected in manor parks, manor houses, and a castle complex. Its different traces of time and uses can be explored at several specific locations.
Culture and History
Rensow Manor Park is more than 300 years old. Its origins lie in a former Wendish fortification dating from the 9th century. Initially designed as a Baroque park, it was transformed into an English-style landscape park in the 19th century; its structure is still recognizable.
Belitz Manor House is an Art Nouveau manor house built in 1906. Guided tours are offered in rooms designed to be true to the original. Coffee and cake are available in the Leutestube, while Mecklenburg specialties are served in the Kontor. Rooms at Belitz Manor House offer accommodation in a historic setting.
Schwiessel Castle was built by the Bassewitz family in the Tudor style in 1864. It was rebuilt from a ruin and is considered a cultural and historical building that is open to the public. The Prebberede-Belitz area also includes a church. Rensow Manor House is regarded as a historic, richly detailed setting for guests.
Park and Paths
Rensow Manor Park is open to the public and has a circular walking trail. A map is available at the manor house.
Water Areas
At the two lakes in Neu Heinde, the bathing areas are located on the eastern shores and have jetties. The bathing spots in Neu Heinde have shallow, sandy access points and are considered particularly suitable for small children. There are grassy areas and jetties there for picnics.
The same higher-level area also includes Groß Wüstenfelde, Schwasdorf, Alt Sührkow, Dahmen, Jördenstorf, Sukow-Levitzow, Dalkendorf and Warnkenhagen.
