Dalkendorf: Hotels and Accommodations
Dalkendorf lies along the Teterow Heidberge Cycling Tour. On the way towards Klein Roge, the route leaves the main road after approximately 500 metres and follows the Ice Age Route; the first section of the tour has steep climbs.
Cycling
The tour runs along compacted farm and forest tracks, concrete slab roads and asphalt. The section from Dalkendorf to Teterow follows a minor road. Near Klein Roge, a picnic area offers the opportunity to leave bicycles before a short walk through the Roger Os begins.
Nature
The Teterow Heidberge Nature Reserve is designated as N 184 and covers 198 hectares. In the Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake Kummerow Nature Park, views extend across rolling hills, fields, forests, lowlands, lakes and small villages.
In the vicinity of Bartelshagen Manor House, there are opportunities to observe sheep, horses, roe deer and cranes. In Dalkendorf, the manor house offers three furnished holiday apartments as well as parking for cars and bicycle storage for guests. There is a small pond directly in front of the house where guests can fish.
Culture and History
Appelhagen Manor House is considered a listed estate with a park and obelisk. It is a two-storey Neoclassical brick building erected in 1829. The estate park includes old trees and an avenue of hornbeams.
The Appelhagen Chapel features two entrance obelisks and a granite cross. It is the family burial chapel of the von Zepelin and von Bülow families.
