Holme on the Kattegat – Beach, Nature and History

Holme lies east of Stubbe Sø in a hilly moraine landscape and was built on rounded moraine hills just over 30 metres high at the eastern end of the Stubbe Sø depression. The area around Holme is part of a contrasting and highly varied landscape offering outstanding scenic experiences.

Havmøllen and Cultural and Historical Traces

The former horse stable at Havmøllen is a publicly accessible nature information centre with maps and information boards about the area's nature and marine life. In the area around Holme, Havmøllegården is a place of great cultural and historical significance. In the same area, Havmøllen Skanse was built in 1810 by the Danish military to defend against English gunboats during the English Wars of 1807 to 1814.
