The 328-hectare Kuhlrader Moor and Röggeliner See nature reserve is located in the municipality of Carlow. It combines wetlands and bodies of water with wet grassland, hedgerows, reed beds, and small bodies of water. Kuhlrader Moor has no paths and cannot be entered.
Culture
An open-air stage stands on the church square of Carlow Church and is used for events in cooperation with the Carlow Cultural Circle, including “Rock an der Kirche” and “SommerAusKlang”.
Carlow Village Church is a neo-Gothic brick building with a ribbed vault, transept, and a west tower visible from a distance. The choir dates from around 1260 and was built of granite ashlar during the transition from the Romanesque to the early Gothic period. The organ was built in 1888 by Schwerin court organ builder Friedrich Friese. A keystone hangs in the vault of the chancel and is considered unique in the surrounding area. Carlow Village Church is located at Schulstraße 6.
At Keramik Mentz in Carlow, visitors can create their own ceramic pieces during open workshop sessions without prior registration. Keramik Mentz also offers pottery sessions for parents and children, as well as pottery sessions for children's birthday parties.
