The village church in Friedrichshagen dates from the 14th century and is designated as a tourist cyclists' church. Extensive restoration and preservation measures saved it from decay. Friedrichshagen has preserved its established structure as a farming village; historic farmsteads have been preserved there.

Culture and History

Plüschow Castle was built in 1763 and features Rococo stucco ceilings. It is a listed monument because of its large double-flight staircase. Parts of the former park have been preserved behind the castle. International artists live and work in the castle, where a wide variety of cultural events take place. Since German reunification, Plüschow Castle has been known for exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. For decades, Plüschow has been regarded beyond the region as a place for art and culture.

Landscape

In Kastahn, the landscape is shaped by the Stepenitz and Billerbach waterways. The entire built-up area of Kastahn is protected as a historic site and includes mature trees.
