The Geltinger Birk nature reserve is located near Stangheck. Birdwatching is possible there; around 200 bird species have been observed over the course of a year. Regular guided tours are available to observe Konik wild horses, and a seasonal exhibition is also held in Falshöft.

Culture
Within Stangheck, Gut Rundhof is part of the cultural heritage. The late Baroque brick manor house was built in 1753/54 and is part of a long-established estate complex.
