Rabenholz: Hotels and Accommodation

The Bee Route runs through Rabenholz and is marked with signs bearing a bee symbol. Along the way, it crosses a hilly landscape typical of Angeln, characterized by hedgerows and small forests. A hill along the route offers views of Gelting Bay.

Location and Townscape

Rabenholz is located 2 km south of Gelting on County Road 58 toward Kappeln. Gut Priesholz estate is situated on the southeastern edge of the municipality. The centre of Rabenholz is a linear village.

Gut Priesholz includes the Rote Kate, a historic 19th-century building used as holiday accommodation. The estate also has horse stalls, as well as access to a paddock and pasture.

Gelting Bay and Geltinger Birk

The Gelting Bay area combines the hilly landscape of Angeln with yellow rapeseed fields and long beaches. Cycle routes run along stretches of coastline and offer views toward Denmark.

Geltinger Birk comprises flat dunes, marshland or heathland, wetlands and open forests. A developed hiking and cycling trail runs through the area, mostly along the dike bordering the nature reserve. Within the nature reserve, Geltinger Birk should be explored exclusively on designated paths.

Further local pages lead to Niesgrau, Pommerby, Steinberg, Steinbergkirche, Kronsgaard, Esgrus, Quern and Rabel.
