Todenbüttel: Hotels and Accommodations

Todenbüttel is known locally as a green church village: forests, meadows, and the Au river invite visitors to relax. The Todenbütteler Au flows through the village. The watercourse continues as the Haaler Au and reaches the Kiel Canal approximately 6 km north of Todenbüttel. The area around the Haaler Au is designated as a Natura 2000 and FFH site and includes a European bird sanctuary.

Church and Monument

The Church of the Holy Trinity was inaugurated on October 5, 1863, in the neo-Gothic style. The Todenbüttel church is a single-nave neo-Gothic brick building with a 40 m-high west tower. The altar is decorated with four oak relief panels dating from 1597. The church and organ are protected monuments.

Senta Windmill

The Senta Windmill is listed at Mühlenweg 1 in Todenbüttel. It was built in 1871, lost its sails in 1931, and was restored to completion in 1980. An annual wine festival takes place at the Senta Windmill. A brochure about visiting Senta is available for purchase in Todenbüttel.

Cycling

The Kiel Canal Route runs for approximately 312 kilometers through the inland areas of Schleswig-Holstein between Brunsbüttel and Kiel.
