Boxberg and Tönsberg are located near Meezen. Leinberg and Sandberg are situated in the surrounding area. In the Waldhütten area of Meezen, a signposted hiking trail runs through a wooded valley with a series of ponds.

Culture and History

The historic building of Meezen Watermill has been preserved to this day and is privately used. The mill has been documented since the late Middle Ages; in 1474, the village and the mill were sold to the Eutin cathedral chapter.

The Wichern Church in Neumünster, Neuspringhirsch, the Kreuzkirche in Neumünster and the Schalenstein cultural and historical monument are located in the wider regional area around Meezen.
