Charzykowy: Hotels and Accommodation

Charzykowy lies on the shore of Jezioro Charzykowskie, about 6 km from Chojnice. Jezioro Charzykowskie is one of the larger lakes in the Pojezierze Pomorskie region. It covers an area of more than 1,360 hectares and is up to 30 metres deep.

By the water

The Charzykowy bathing area is located on the Charzykowy promenade at Jezioro Charzykowskie and has a 99-metre-long shoreline. The main beach in Charzykowy is adjoined by a sand football pitch, a volleyball court and a multi-level spectator stand.

Boats with combustion engines are prohibited on Jezioro Charzykowskie. The lake is considered clean in terms of water quality and particularly peaceful. Jezioro Charzykowskie and its surroundings are associated with sailing, windsurfing, motorboating, fishing, horse riding, Nordic walking, cycling and long walks.

The ChKÅ» marina on Jezioro Charzykowskie has more than 100 berths for yachts and motorboats. The Chojnice Sailing Club also runs a sailing school that is open all year round.

Hiking and cycling trails

The Struga Siedmiu Jezior green hiking trail section begins in Charzykowy and ends in Chojnice. The entire Struga Siedmiu Jezior green trail passes through Bory Tucholskie National Park near Stara Piła. In addition, the marked Szlak Strugi Siedmiu Jezior hiking and cycling trail leads from Charzykowy towards Chojnice.

The red Kaszubska Marszruta route begins at the promenade in Charzykowy and ends in Czersk. It is a signposted cycle route of low difficulty that runs along separate cycle paths with gravel, asphalt or concrete surfaces. On the red Kaszubska Marszruta route, cyclists discover Kashubian art and culture.

History

Charzykowy has a maritime heritage associated with the Chojnice Sailing Club. The club was founded in 1922 by Otton Weiland and is considered the first sailing club in independent Poland.
