History

Dalberg is first mentioned in 1271. Wendelstorf is first mentioned in 1194.

A canoe route in the Stepenitz Valley crosses Lake Wendelstorf. The lake has partly steep banks and a belt of reeds. Another canoe route leads through meadows and floodplain landscapes to a small lake known as Dahlbergkuhle.
