Amt Neustrelitz-Land: Hotels and Accommodations

A cultural attraction within the Amt is the Luisen Memorial in Hohenzieritz; concerts and festivals complement the range of offerings.

Culture

In Dabelow stands the Buttel Church, a half-timbered church built in 1855. Exhibitions and concerts take place there several times a year.

Nature and Trails

The SpurenWeg trail between Kratzeburg and Dambeck interprets human traces in the forest: stations explore former settlements and natural succession, supplemented by quotations from local residents. The trail is accessible.

The SpurenWeg area can be reached by regional train via Kratzeburg railway station; from there, the trail continues for approximately 400 meters on foot. Access by bicycle from Neustrelitz-Tannenhof is signposted, and there are parking facilities for cars near Kratzeburg.

Activities

Within the Amt, the Brückentin Youth Nature Conservation Academy offers bicycle, boat, and canoe excursions. Other activities include workshops, a sauna, bread baking in a clay oven, night hikes, and guided forest walks.

Geographical Setting

Kaninchen Werder is located in the surroundings of Amt Neustrelitz-Land. Glockenberg and Bauernberg are nearby, while Papenberg is also in the surrounding area. The wider regional area includes the abandoned settlement of Kastaven, the cultural-historical monument of the Ruins of the Monastery Church, the city park, and the Ravensbrück Memorial and Remembrance Site.

The Amt also includes Kratzeburg, Blankensee, Userin, Carpin, Wokuhl-Dabelow, Godendorf, Klein Vielen, Hohenzieritz, Blumenholz, Grünow and Möllenbeck.
