Pogorzelica: Hotels and accommodations
Pogorzelica is considered a Baltic Sea coastal resort with a wide beach. Beaches in the immediate vicinity include Plaża w Pogorzelicy and Plaża Niechorze. In the surrounding area are Pobierowo Plaża, and farther afield in the region, Plaża Dżwirzyno.
Nature
The landscape around Pogorzelica includes pine forest as well as the nearby lakes Konarzewo and Liwia Łuża. From Pogorzelica, Lake Liwia Łuża is considered reachable in a short walk. The Liwia Łuża nature reserve surrounds the lake of the same name.
Birdwatching and long walks are possible in the nature reserve, where swans and other bird species can be seen. Pogorzelica's roads and forests are considered suitable for cycling, and several cycling routes run through the area. The renovated narrow-gauge railway Nadmorska Kolejka Wąskotorowa also passes through Pogorzelica.
Culture and history
Historically, Pogorzelica was part of the village of Konarzewo and was known as Fischerkathen. In the area around Pogorzelica, the palace and castle complex Zespol palacowo-zamkowy z XVIII w. is located in Trzebiatow.
