Twedt: Hotels and Accommodations

The ruins of Edelsturm are located in the immediate vicinity of Twedt. The surrounding area is home to Gottorf Castle, the State Museum, and St. John’s Monastery; further afield in the region lies the rune stone.

Lindholm and Mövenberg are located in the area around Twedt. Tolkschau is also nearby, while Habernis Beach lies farther afield in the region. The wider Schlei region offers local hiking trails, long-distance cycling routes, and themed cycling routes, as well as sailing, paddling, rowing, and canoeing.

Culture and History

The historic Lücke farm is listed as a three-sided farm complex and was built around 270 years ago as the von Liliencron family’s summer residence. The complex has served as a filming location; the building is not open to the public. The Lücke farm complex includes a bridge house near the Loiter Au.
