Culture and history
Boren is home to St. Mary's Church, a Romanesque brick church from the first third of the 13th century. It was restored in a way that emphasizes its original Romanesque appearance. Notable features of the interior include a medieval granite baptismal font, a 16th-century crucifix and altarpiece, a late Gothic entrance structure, and a separate wooden tower.
Lindauhof is located within the municipality of Boren, on the Dänisch Lindau estate. The manor house dates from the 15th century and is associated with filming for the television series “Der Landarzt.” The municipality is also home to three art galleries with exhibition spaces.
