Kaltenhofer Moor was rewetted by filling in former drainage ditches. Damp clearings in the forest provide amphibians and other wildlife with a new habitat.

Horse riding is available at Blötz Pony Farm in Felm-Tonnenberg and at Mumm Equestrian Centre in Felmerholz.

In the immediate vicinity within the municipality of Felm, you can visit the restored Rathmannsdorf Lock on the former Eider Canal. In the Felm area, it also serves as a stopping point for cyclists and walkers.
