Rąb: Hotels and Accommodation
Rąb is a small Kashubian village with scattered development. At the same time, the village lies along the route of the signposted blue cycling trail Błękitna Trasa Rowerowa, which runs through Rąb and is connected with Kashuby, the Kaszubski Park Krajobrazowy and the Pojezierze Kaszubskie.
Culture and History
The regional museum in Rąb was founded by the Kashubian cultural association “Na Kraju”. The regional museum displays everyday objects used by earlier generations. Rąb was first mentioned in written sources at the beginning of the 19th century.
Archaeology
The archaeological remains in Rąb include burial grounds with stone cist graves. Archaeological investigations recorded five archaeological sites in Rąb. Four of the documented sites are remains of burial grounds of the Pomeranian population. The fifth documented site contains the remains of stone barrows, which probably date from the transitional period between the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age.
The C-390 barrow cemetery in Rąb contains two partially preserved stone barrows of unknown chronology. The C-417 flat grave cemetery in Rąb dates from the Early Iron Age.
Getting Around
There is a bus stop named “Rąb Izba Regionalna” on the municipal road G8.1 between Pomieczyno and Rąb.
