Culture and Routes

In Levenhagen, a 13th-century church stands next to a pilgrimage chapel dating from the second half of the 15th century. The buildings and grounds can be explored digitally using an app. Burgwall is located in the surrounding area of Amt Landhagen. Greifswald, St. Jacobi, Greifswald, St. Spiritus, and Greifswald Cathedral, St. Nikolai, are also nearby.

The Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route runs through Wackerow towards Greifswald. The Via Baltica runs through the municipality towards Rostock, following the former railway embankment of the Greifswald–Tribsees railway line.

Streng, Kleiner Werder, and Riffbrink are located in the surrounding area of Amt Landhagen.

Gristow Nature Experience Park covers around 70 hectares and hosts the annual Tonnenabschlagen on horseback. The park includes nine kilometres of walking paths through various biotopes, playgrounds, petting enclosures, a traffic garden, and a kitchen garden. Around 300 animals, including sheep, goats, horses, and fallow deer, can be observed there.

The Grimmen Zoo is located in the wider regional surroundings of Amt Landhagen.
