Dersekow is a municipality in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. The village is located 8.5 kilometres southwest of Greifswald and 19 kilometres southeast of Grimmen. Other places at the same level are Hinrichshagen, Wackerow, Weitenhagen, Neuenkirchen, Dargelin, Levenhagen, Mesekenhagen and Behrenhoff.

Dersekow was first mentioned in 1219 under the name “Dirscowe” in a document associated with the transfer of the village to Eldena Abbey. The village had previously belonged to the Gützkow district and was subsequently transferred to Eldena Abbey.
