Trassenheide: Hotels and Accommodation

Trassenheide is a Baltic Sea resort in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The town has an almost four-kilometre-long sandy beach and the Usedom coastal forest.

Nature

Walks along the beach can be combined with walks through the Usedom coastal forest. The islands of Rohrplan and Kleiner Wotig are also located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Trassenheide.

Things to Do

A shallow-water zone and a variety of leisure activities are part of Trassenheide’s family-oriented visitor offering. Trassenheide is considered a year-round seaside resort; spring, summer, autumn and winter are all considered attractive seasons for visitors.

The Trassenheide Butterfly Farm is a zoo in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Trassenheide. The surrounding area of the centre also includes Wolgast Wildlife Park, a zoo.

Culture

The surrounding area of the centre of Trassenheide contains the Peenemünde Power Station Museum, as well as the ruins of the Peenemünde Oxygen Plant and the Peenemünde Test Stand VII. Karlshagen Church is also located in the immediate vicinity of the centre.

Trassenheide is also designated as a certified family-friendly municipality in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
