Pruchten: Hotels and Accommodation
Pruchten lies between the Barther Strom and the Barther Bodden to the east and the Bodstedter Bodden to the west – at the transition from the mainland to the Zingst peninsula.

Part of the municipality of Pruchten belongs to the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park. Barther Oie is located in the nearby area. The surrounding area also includes Schmidtbülten, Groß Kirr and Jäger Bülten.
Location and Connections
State road 21 runs from Barth towards Zingst through Pruchten and Bresewitz. In the northern part, the Meiningen Bridge crosses the Meiningenstrom to the Zingst peninsula.
Culture and History
The nearby town of Barth is home to St. Mary's Church. The surrounding area also includes Kenz-Küstrow with St. Mary's Church, Flemendorf with St. Mary's Church, and Kirchenort.
A railway line formerly ran through Pruchten to Zingst and Prerow. The section leading to Bresewitz was rerouted in the 1960s and used as a military shunting yard until 1990.
