From 1958 to 1982, Munkeruphus was the workplace and home of the artist Gunnar Aagaard Andersen (1919–1982). Its former use as both workplace and home connects the history of the house with the artist's biography. The period from 1958 to 1982 refers to the years in which both uses coincided. A permanent exhibition space presents the work of Gunnar Aagaard Andersen. The permanent exhibition space is therefore located in the same house that Andersen used as his workplace and home.

Beach, Park and Active Trails

The beach at Munkerup is only 10–25 m wide and consists of pebbles and pebble beach ridges. Its limited width and stony ground define it as a narrow coastal area.
