Ugglarp: Beaches, Nature and Active Coastal Experiences
Accommodation in Ugglarp
Ugglarp combines a clearly defined beach area with nature experiences and a wide range of activities along the coast. When planning your trip, the main question is therefore whether you would like to combine relaxing days on the beach, a distinctive landscape or active pursuits. Local offerings range from three different beaches and a nature reserve to SUP, fatbike and kitesurfing experiences.
Beaches and nature around Ugglarp
The Ugglarp beach area comprises the southern, northern and western beaches. All three beaches slope gently and continuously into the water and are child-friendly. This is a specific selection criterion for families who, when looking for accommodation, value a well-planned stay by the water. At the same time, there is room for different daily rhythms: you can choose the beach as your main destination or combine it with nature and activity offerings.
Another side of the area is revealed by the Ullarp nature reserve. It consists of pastureland with many old, imposing oak trees. The open landscape and distinctive trees give your stay a clear connection to nature. If you are not planning to spend all your time at the beach, you can discover a scenic contrast to the coastal sections here. Nature is not merely a background addition, but shapes a distinct part of the travel experience.
Museum, technology and a break with pastries
For those interested in culture and technology, the Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum offers a distinct focus. Around 130 cars and 40 aircraft are displayed there. In the large hall, visitors can walk between and beneath many different aircraft. This means the exhibition can be viewed not only from a distance; the size of the hall and the arrangement of the aircraft are themselves part of the museum experience.
You can also buy cakes, pastries and filled sandwiches at the museum. This adds a simple culinary option to your visit, without implying that Ugglarp has a general restaurant offering. For planning your day, the museum is therefore interesting both as a cultural destination and as a standalone part of your stay.
Active days on the water and on land
If you would like to experience Ugglarp actively, you can book a SUP tour on the Suseån. The tour passes through woodland and open terrain. Guided fatbike tours also start in Ugglarp, last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours and run along the coast as well as through the inland areas of Falkenberg. This gives you a choice between a guided cycling tour and an activity on the river.
Villa Surf Garden in Ugglarp offers bookable kitesurfing courses for beginners and advanced participants, as well as private lessons. In addition, you can book a guided half-day fatbike and SUP tour lasting approximately 3.5 to 4 hours in total. The route initially follows the Suseån by bicycle, then continues downstream by SUP to the river mouth, where it meets the sea, and finally returns to Ugglarp by bicycle. This sequence combines two modes of transport without requiring you to put the activities together into a route yourself.
At the northern rocks of Ugglarp Beach, there is also a fishing hut and a jetty suitable for crab fishing. This means that, alongside swimming and enjoying the view of the water, the beach area offers a specific maritime activity.
