The harbour square is therefore located at a specific starting point for excursions in the town.

Gottskär as a destination on the Kattegattleden

For cycling travellers, Gottskär is connected to the Kattegattleden. The long-distance cycle route offers a detour to Gottskär for ice cream or a meal at the harbour square. In addition, two cycling stages connect with Gottskär in opposite directions. The two connections differ in direction and length: a stage of just under 30 kilometres leads from Åsa to Gottskär, while the return direction, measuring slightly more than 20 kilometres, leads from Gottskär to Särö. At just under 30 kilometres, the stage from Åsa to Gottskär is longer than the route to Särö, which is slightly more than 20 kilometres long. On these routes, Gottskär is both a destination and a starting point. The detour to the harbour square offers time at the harbour within the cycle network, either for ice cream or a meal.
