Harbour with Trading History

The harbour of Lundeborg was completed in 1862. The northern harbour basin dates from 1862–1863. Townscape and Historical Traces

Lundeborg is considered Denmark’s oldest known trading place. At Lundeborg, the excavated beach market was a seasonal marketplace that existed for 500 years from AD 200. Lundeborg Church was built as a prayer house in 1896. Unusually, its tower is located at the eastern end, while the altar stands at the western end of the nave. Momleby in Lundeborg is a working-class neighbourhood with seven houses built around 1864.
