Swimming Jetty and the Great Belt

The water experience in Revsøre is defined by a wide swimming jetty: it extends 40 metres into the Great Belt and ends in a 17.5-square-metre platform. The platform at the swimming jetty can be used for swimming and crab fishing. If you would like to choose between these two water activities, you will find them combined in the same place.

The swimming area at Revsøre can be reached on foot, by boat, by bicycle or by car. The four ways of getting there open up different planning options: you can combine access to the swimming area with a walk, a boat trip, a bike ride or a car journey. Revsøre is also clearly defined when it comes to routes on land. Klokkefrøstien runs along small asphalt roads, forest tracks, paths beside hedges and sections along the shore. The changing surfaces and landscapes make the route interesting if, when walking, you are looking for more than an even, uniform stretch. Asphalt, forest, hedges and shore appear as distinct sections of the same path. When planning your day, you can consciously take the changes between shore, forest, hedges and road into account.

Beaches, Island and Fort in the Surrounding Area

In the immediate vicinity of Revsøre is Slude Strand, a beach. The area around Revsøre also includes Nyborg Strand, a beach, Stjerneskansen, a fort, and Langesand, an island. The geographical surroundings of Revsøre therefore include different types of places: two beaches, a fort and an island.

If you would like to choose your destinations according to your preferred focus, these places already differ in how they are classified. Slude Strand and Nyborg Strand represent beach-related interests, while Stjerneskansen as a fort and Langesand as an island offer a different thematic emphasis. Revsøre was first mentioned in 1664 in the form „Reffsøre“. Several equipment and shelter huts are located on the seaward side of Revsøre. Both facts are among the specific local details that accompany a stay by the water: the name dates back to the 17th century, while the huts on the seaward side are an immediate part of the present-day local landscape.
