Trails from Stensbygård to the Coast

There are four nature trails at Stensbygård. They run along the farm's fields, through its forests and along Stensby Møllebæk to the coast of South Zealand. The trails by the stream pass a meadow at the archaeological monument Kong Valdemars Jagtslot. Kong Valdemars Jagtslot is a small medieval defensive earthwork on a meadow by Stensby Møllebæk. Radar Station and Barracks in Stensved

The town's military past also gives it a distinctive historical character. The radar station at Skovhuse near Stensved opened in 1954 and was decommissioned in 2004. Another distance reference concerns the development of the area: From June 2013, the area was publicly accessible via an almost 10 km-long trail system from Stensved in the north to Storstrømmen in the south.
