Townscape and history

A three-storey utility building with storage facilities dating from 1865 has been preserved in Kurów. At the foot of the slope lies a historic manor park with yew trees and plane trees. It also includes an oak called Zbójecki Dąb, which is designated as a natural monument.

The Kurowskie Błota ornithological reserve is located near Kurów on a wooded swamp island in Międzyodrze. The protected area preserves colonies of cormorants and other birds.

The wider surroundings include the municipality of Kołbaskowo, located in the Szczecin Hills and the Lower Oder Valley along the Oder. The Międzyodrze area includes the Lower Oder Valley Landscape Park.
