Mierzyn is located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the municipality of Dobra (Szczecińska), borders the western part of Szczecin, and lies on national road DK10. At the same time, prehistoric finds indicate settlement dating back several thousand years, associated with the Linear Pottery culture from 5600 to 4900 BC.
History and Culture
A historic windmill in Mierzyn is listed in the monument register of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship under number 544, dated December 22, 1965. Lectures in the series Historia w Dobrej are held at the Zachodniopomorski Uniwersytet Ludowy in Mierzyn, including lectures on regional and prehistoric history.
