Gozd is located in the Gmina Bobolice in the Powiat koszaliński of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Culture and history

The village is home to a filial church dedicated to Saint James the Apostle, dating from 1864–1876 and listed in a register of monuments. The Leonard Hanke inn is also dated to 1910. In the wider regional surroundings of Gozd lies krag zamek.

The Gmina Bobolice lies in the Bytów Lakeland. Its wider area includes the Buczyna forest reserve and the Jezioro Szare and Jezioro Piekiełko aquatic flora reserves; these reserves are also assigned to the Gmina Bobolice. Forests cover 44 % of the gmina, while agricultural land accounts for 47 %.

Water and routes

In the northern part of the Gmina Bobolice, the Radew is available for kayaking. A green tourist trail runs along the river.
