History and Culture

Koszalin was founded in the Middle Ages and retained its historical significance in Central Pomerania; until the 17th century, the city was a seaport. The Gothic Cathedral of Koszalin is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Koszalin–Kołobrzeg.
