Lipowiec: Hotels and Accommodations

Lipowiec is located in the historic region of Masuria. The town’s historical context includes periods under Polish, Prussian, and German administration. In 1933, Lipowiec was renamed Lindenort; in 1945, the historic name was restored after the area became part of Poland again.

History and Culture

A landmark associated with Lipowiec is the Saint Valentine Church. A parish church in Lipowiec dedicated to Saint Valentine is a listed historic building.

The town is home to a war graves section in an Evangelical cemetery. It contains the graves of seven unknown Russian soldiers who died in 1914, as well as the grave of a civilian war victim. The listed historic buildings in Lipowiec also include houses numbered 166, 167, and 170.
