Malszewo lies on the shore of Lake Małszewskie and combines its immediate lakeside location with a landscape of fields, meadows, holiday homes and forest. The shore near Malszewo is gently elevated in places.
Cycling
An 11-kilometre red-marked cycle route follows the Jedwabno–Lipniki–Małszewo–Burdąg–Jedwabno loop.
Culture
Malszewo is home to a wooden inn dating from 1813. There is also a wooden mill and a 19th-century wooden house on a stream that flows into Lake Małszewskie.
