Jaśki is a locality in the municipality of Olecko, in Olecki County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland. The locality lies south of Voivodeship Road 655 in the direction of Giżycko. The area near Jaśki borders County Road 1814 N, which connects Jaśki and Dobki.

Nature and routes

In the wider regional surroundings of Jaśki are Szeska Góra, Tatarska Góra, and Lipowa Góra. The municipality of Olecko is considered an area with many lakes, forests, and low environmental pollution. A documented walking and cycling route runs through Jaśki on a loop connecting Świetajna and Świętajno via Giże, Olecko, and Dunajek.

History and architectural traces

Jaśki was already inhabited before 1562. The place name is derived from the first village headman's first name. In 1563, Albrecht Hohenzollern is said to have approved the sale of three village shares in Jaśki to Jaśko of Kukowo.

Archaeological settlement trace Site 1 is designated in Jaśki. The locality includes an early 20th-century school complex consisting of a school building and an auxiliary building. House No. 9 is considered an example of early 20th-century construction.
