Geographical location

Swiętajno is the seat of the Gmina Świętajno rural municipality in Olecki County, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland. The municipality covers just under 215 km²; 55 percent is used for agriculture and 25 percent for forestry. Land use in the municipality is also described as 55 percent agricultural and 25 percent forestry.

The regional road DW 655 connects Gmina Świętajno with Giżycki and Olecki counties, as well as with Suwalski County in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Within the municipality, local roads and rural paths connect the settlements.
