Nature and Trails

Kullaleden is part of Skåneleden and offers sweeping views, charming fishing villages, nature experiences and culture. The Landborg promenades complement this trail network with green spaces and beautiful views over Helsingborg and the Öresund. A clearly defined promenade loop is the 5.3-kilometre Rausrundan between the Råån valley and the Ättekulla nature reserve in the Helsingborg area.

The Råån valley nature reserve extends in the Helsingborg area approximately five kilometres inland from Råå in southern Helsingborg to Gantofta. There, visitors can hike along paths by the river and fish for trout. In Pålsjö skog nature reserve, a network of paths leads between old beeches, oaks and alders. Tropikariet showcases exotic land and aquatic animals.

Culture and History

Kronborg is a castle in the vicinity of Helsingborg parish. Sofiero is a palace in the vicinity of Helsingborg parish, as is Marienlyst Castle. Gustav Adolf is a church in the immediate vicinity of Helsingborg parish.

Open days and guided tours for residents and other visitors are regularly held at Helsingborg City Hall. The building was completed in 1897 and formerly housed the municipal administration, a police office and the central fire station. Kärnan in Helsingborg consists of a residential tower approximately 35 metres high and an adjoining five-sided stair tower.

Dunkers kulturhus in Helsingborg is a meeting place for art, music, theatre, dance, and urban and cultural history. Every year, it hosts several exhibitions, concerts and other activities with local, regional, national and international content. There are also special programmes and activities for children and young people.

Sofiero welcomes tens of thousands of visitors each year, who enjoy the park and its royal heritage. The site combines a park and royal heritage with views over the Öresund. Fredriksdal covers 360,000 square metres with distinctive landscapes, buildings and gardens that tell the story of Schleswig's natural and cultural history.

Råå museum för fiske och sjöfart was founded in 1933; its starting point was a collection of numerous photographs and biographies of former residents of Råå. A boathouse contains Kurt Björklund's circumnavigation ship, “Golden Lady”.

Coast and Islands

Råå hamnplan is a small beach with smooth, rounded stones south of the Rååbaden cold bathhouse in the Helsingborg area. Kallis is a cold bathhouse in Helsingborg and an established meeting place for sauna and sea bathing all year round. Kallis dates back to 1865 and is considered one of Helsingborg's oldest cold bathhouses.

Nivå Strand is a beach in the wider regional surroundings of Helsingborg parish. Havsbadens strandbad is also a beach in the wider regional surroundings of Helsingborg parish. Ven is an island in the vicinity of Helsingborg parish, while Gråen is an island in the wider regional surroundings of Helsingborg parish.
