Rydebäck offers several specific points of interest for planning your trip: Rydebäcksbadet sandy beach, coastal nature, historical landmarks, and connections to the north and south. When choosing where to stay, you can weigh up beach time, scenery, culture and access to other towns. These themes can be distinguished: the beach and seagrass are part of the coast, while a green corridor in the centre is a nature feature within the town.

Beach and coastal nature

Rydebäcksbadet is a sandy beach several hundred metres long. It attracts both people from the local area and beachgoers from further afield. If you want to make the beach a focus of your trip, Rydebäcksbadet is a clearly identifiable point of interest. A natural beach meadow borders the Rydebäck bathing area. One of the better seagrass beds is located off the coast of Rydebäck.

These landscape features have different spatial connections: the beach meadow adjoins the bathing area, while the seagrass lies off the coast. This distinction can be helpful when planning your trip if you want to consider the beach and nature together while keeping their respective locations in mind.

Historical landmarks

The brickworks “Rydebäcks tegelbruk” was founded in the early 17th century. Rydebäck Church was inaugurated on 7 May 1995 and is one of the more recently established church buildings in the Diocese of Lund. The two dates mark very different points in time: the brickworks was founded centuries before the church was inaugurated. Taking both topics into account allows you to place these cultural landmarks in chronological context. A brickworks is an industrial facility for manufacturing bricks.

Rydebäcks gård is located by the Öresund, near the border with Landskrona Municipality. This location adds a regional point of reference along the strait and at the municipal boundary to the historical topics.

Water, green corridor and transport

The Rydebäcken flows into the Öresund near Rya Golfbana. This provides another way to identify the coast, through a named watercourse and its estuary. Since autumn 2023, a larger green corridor has been developed in the centre of Rydebäck to create better conditions for people and animals through increased biodiversity. This is a different nature feature from the beach and seagrass: here, the focus is on a green corridor in the centre and its biodiversity goal.

Rydebäck has road and rail connections north to Helsingborg and Ängelholm, and south to Landskrona and Malmö. These north–south directions help with planning journeys to these destinations; check specific timetables to suit your travel dates.

Rya East is a 6-hole pay-and-play course operated by Rya Golfklubb. For golf enthusiasts, this option offers a different focus from the beach and coastal nature; its number of holes and playing format give it a clearly defined profile.
