The well-preserved townscape of Anderslöv reflects the town’s historic role as a central settlement on the Skåne plain. This history is particularly evident at Anderslövs kyrka. It was built in the 12th century as an original stone church. Inside, the ceiling paintings date from the 1350s and are attributed to the Snårestad Master. The pulpit is also notable from an art-historical perspective: it dates from the early 17th century and is attributed to Jakob Kremberg and his assistants. The church thus combines architectural history and works of art from several centuries: the 12th-century stone church is followed by the paintings from the 1350s and the early modern pulpit.

There is also a burial mound from the older Bronze Age in the Anderslöv cemetery. Another way to learn about the town’s history is the former municipal building from 1961, which is now used as a museum. Historical perspectives in Anderslöv therefore range from the older Bronze Age through the medieval church to the more recent history of the town.

Nature and activities around the town

Anderslövs friluftsbad has a 25-metre pool and a children’s pool with a sloping floor. For families, this means that, in addition to the nature playground, there is also a designated swimming area.

Anderslövs kyrka is open Monday to Friday, except on public holidays, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Before visiting, you should confirm accessibility by telephone, as the church is sometimes closed before funerals or other events. Anderslövs Marknad is a recurring event in the town’s calendar. The market takes place every year in August, during calendar week 33.
