Treia: Hotels and Accommodations

Treia lies on the Treene River and is characterized by a strikingly wooded landscape. Walking and cycling routes complement the riverside village; the Treene near Treia is also associated with fishing and paddling.

Nature and Routes

A circular route in Treia crosses the Treene and its floodplain. Along the way, it passes a memorial stone associated with the Danish Wars, as well as a monument commemorating a Russian prisoner-of-war camp from the First World War.

Townscape and Culture

Treia is home to St. Nicolai Church and the riverside place of worship known as “Kleines Paradies” (“Little Paradise”). Its entrance consists of a willow arch; the site also includes sculptures made by children and a central cross.

Near Treia are Gottorf Castle, the State Museum, and the Runestone. The wider regional area also includes Haithabu, St. John’s Monastery, Mövenberg, Bredstedt Telecommunications Tower, Tolkschau, and Nordhöhe.

Getting There and Other Places

Treia is served by bus route 155 between Husum, Treia, Silberstedt, and Schleswig. The village lies on the B201 and can be reached from the A7 via the Schleswig/Schuby exit.
