In the official FFH area “Treene Winderatter See to Friedrichstadt and Bollingstedter Au,” the Bollingstedter Au is designated under area number 1322-391. North of the village lies the Bollingstedter Moor, which is considered an intact habitat of remarkable beauty.

The Mühlenteich is associated with an old mill. The pond area is also home to a great variety of waterfowl.

Paths and Nature

The Steinholz woodland offers extensive walks. A path through Steinholz can continue to Bollingstedt’s district of Gammellund and to Lake Gammellund.

A well-developed network of cycling paths extends around Bollingstedt, making it possible to explore the surrounding area in all directions.

Regular local public transport connects Bollingstedt with Jübek railway stop. The railway connection from Jübek provides travel options to Husum, Kiel, Flensburg, and Hamburg.
