Nature and Activities

A nature exhibition in Hohenfelde presents the history of the Ice Age, Ice Age erratic boulders and Baltic Sea inhabitants, including a baby turbot in a touch pool. Visitors can take part in nature-focused excursions in Hohenfelde, led by one of six nature and landscape guides. Afterwards, the view from the terrace of the Nature Experience Centre extends across the Baltic Sea.

Surroundings

The area around Hohenfelde includes Salzau, Pilsberg, Bökenberg and Mittelsberg. The wider regional area is home to Kleiner Werder, allotment gardens, the Naval Memorial in Laboe and Riemannstein.

Getting There

One way to reach Hohenfelde by public transport is via Plön and Lütjenburg: take the train to Plön, continue to Lütjenburg on bus 350, and then take bus 260 to Hohenfelde. Direct bus connections are less frequent.
