Dywan: Hotels and accommodations

The picturesque Lake Dywańskie borders Dywan. The village is located in the Bory Tucholskie forest complex and on the upper reaches of the Zbrzyca, almost at its source.

Nature and protected areas

In Dywan, one property is part of the Natura 2000 site “Bory Tucholskie”. In addition, one property in Dywan is part of the Lipuski Obszar Chronionego Krajobrazu.

Cycling

The approximately 30-kilometre cycling route “W lasach okolic Dziemian” runs through Dywan. A mountain bike or trekking bike is recommended for this route. In the section near Dywan, the cycling route leads to the Leśna Izba Patriotyzmu i Tradycji in the Dywański Forest, which is recommended for a visit.

History

Dywan is documented in records dating back to 1679. Until 1939, the Polish-German border ran through Lake Dywańskie, located west of Dywan.

The watermill “Dywan, młyn wodny”, recorded in the 19th century, was a stationary grain mill and sawmill; the mill building no longer exists.
