Przytarnia is a Kashubian village in Kościerzyna County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the municipality of Karsin, on the southern shore of Lake Wdzydze and on the edge of Wdzydze Landscape Park. The local landscape is characterized by a lake-and-forest setting connected with Lake Wdzydze and the edge of the landscape park.

Landscape and nature

In the wider regional surroundings of Przytarnia lies Lake Wdzydze, the largest lake within Wdzydze Landscape Park and locally known as the Kashubian Sea. The Wdzydze Lakes are associated with a bird population that includes, among others, cranes, divers, swans, mergansers, eagle owls, long-eared owls, white-tailed eagles, goshawks, kites, and buzzards. There is also a considerable beaver population there.

In the immediate surroundings of Przytarnia are Chełmice, the hill above Górki and Białe Góry (Góry Kalwaryjskie). Nowe Slone (200 m) is also located in the surrounding area of Przytarnia.

Culture and history

The ruralist settlement complex of Przytarnia is listed in the Polish register of monuments. The entry bears the number 981 and is dated November 17, 1986.

A red-marked cycling route between Przytarnia and Wiele is listed with a length of 19.7 km.
