Brodnica Górna is located in the Kashubian Landscape Park and the Kashubian Lake District. The village is also situated on the DW228 voivodeship road.

The Złota Góra viewpoint in Brodnica Górna is easily accessible via a paved road. From there, you can look out over Lake Brodno Wielkie; Lake Ostrzyckie can also be seen.

Water and Regional Products

The Centre for Water Sports and Regional Development on Złota Góra in Brodnica Górna is located along the “Radunia Circle” route, which encompasses the area around Lake Brodno Wielkie. The centre has facilities for water sports and a water sports equipment rental service, which operates from May to October.

At the centre, visitors can sample specialities prepared by the “Gospodynie Brodnickie”. These are regional products made by the local community.

Culture and History

Brodnica Górna is an old knightly settlement that later became a noble settlement. For several centuries, the village was owned by the Kashubian Lniskis and Ustarbowskis families.

The Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Brodnica Górna was separated from the parish of Chmielno in 1905. Construction of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus began on 30 June 1932, based on a design by engineer P. Cybichowski. The church was consecrated on 7 November 1933.

The annual Kashubian festival Truskawkobranie takes place at the end of June or the beginning of July at the foot of the nearby Złota Góra hill.
