History and Architectural Heritage

The Parish Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is an 18th-century religious building constructed using traditional half-timbered techniques. Its architectural form is well preserved.

Czarne Castle was built between 1395 and 1403 on an irregular trapezoidal ground plan with a tower. A moat, fragments of the defensive walls, and bastions remain from its medieval fortifications. Until the mid-15th century, the castle was under the rule of the Teutonic Order.

On the Czernica

The canoeing trail on the Czernica reaches Czarne, the largest settlement along the route. Its Sporysz–Lubnica section has a medium difficulty level. At the mill in the center of Czarne, a portage is required on this canoeing trail.

Cycling Routes and Promenade

The 35.5-kilometer “Hetmana Koniecpolskiego” cycling route is designated from Człuchów through several intermediate towns to Czarne.
