Kummerow: Hotels and Accommodation

At the entrance to Kummerow stands the old Pomeranian school. The building, with its small pointed turrets, is considered a sight and is privately owned.

Culture and Townscape

Kummerow is also home to a privately owned castle built in 1912. It was later used as a convalescent home, school, and kindergarten. Since then, it has been reconstructed and modernized; an adjacent park completes the complex.

In the area surrounding Kummerow are the Stralsund Zoo, Mönchstein, St. Mary's Church in Flemendorf, St. Mary's Church in Kenz-Küstrow, and the village church in Steinhagen.

Geographical Location

Kummerow is located within the municipality of Niepars on the tourist axis between the regions of Rügen and Darß, which are connected via Stralsund and Barth.

Großer Negenberg and Kivitzbarg are located near Kummerow. The Grimmen Zoo is located in the wider regional area.

The surrounding area of Niepars provides access to riding stables, where visitors can register, as well as opportunities for hiking and cycling along the Bodden waters.
