Nature

Small streams run through Bibow’s meadows. The municipality also includes Lake Bibow and Lake Neuhoff, which are described as having depths of 9 meters and 4.5 meters, respectively.

Culture

The Bibow Church is considered the oldest building in the municipality and is a worthwhile sightseeing stop. Dendrochronological examinations date the wood used for the chancel roof to the winter of 1296/97 and indicate that the building was completed in 1297. In 1999, the Bibow Church Construction Association began restoration work on the church. As the restoration progressed, its religious and cultural use also increased.

Neuhoff Castle in Neuhof, Bibow, is open to events and exhibitions. Its cultural focus encompasses visual arts, music, performing arts, literature, crafts, history, and local heritage.

NAHBUS route 202 has stops in all five districts of the municipality of Bibow. The nearest regional train stations are in Ventschow and Blankenberg: The station in Ventschow is approximately 1.5 kilometers on foot from Dämelow, while the station in Blankenberg is about 7.5 kilometers from Nisbill.

Bibow’s regional cycling network is connected to the Hamburg–Rügen long-distance cycle route and the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route.
