Wittenbeck is located between the Baltic Sea coast and the Kühlung ridge, near the seaside resort of Heiligendamm and the towns of Kühlungsborn and Bad Doberan.

Culture and nature

The surroundings of Wittenbeck include Doberan Minster, the church in Biendorf, the Eisenquelle spring, Kamp, and the Palaisgarten. The Johanniskirche church in Kühlungsborn is also nearby. The Rostock Zoo is located farther afield in the surrounding region.

Leisure and sports

Wittenbeck has a tradition of equestrian sports: Since 1979, the local riding club has organized district championships and an annual equestrian tournament. The summer toboggan run is also located in the surrounding area. The Ostsee Golf Resort Wittenbeck is situated between Heiligendamm and Kühlungsborn near the Baltic Sea coast and holds the German Golf Association’s “Golf & Nature” Gold certification.
