Dalby between Beach, Fjordstien and History

Dalby combines a clearly defined beach area with distinctive landscape features and an unusually varied history. Dalby Beach lies at the end of Dalby Strandvej. The Fjordstien runs along the holiday home roads there. The church also contains an altarpiece from Orø Church, created around 1633. In addition, there is a Romanesque granite baptismal font, a 15th-century crucifix, and a pulpit dating from 1626. The church thus brings together architectural elements and furnishings from several eras. Dalby is also home to the somewhat disturbed double-chamber passage grave Drysagerdys; its two chambers are 23 m long in total. Drysagerdys is a Stone Age dolmen or passage grave, dated to 3950–2801 BC. In the northern chamber area, 11 side stones and 3 capstones are visible.
