The 58-kilometre Øhavsstien on Langeland follows the coast, crosses the island through beautiful natural areas and passes through the harbour towns of Rudkøbing, Spodsbjerg and Lohals. An approximately 29-kilometre section leads from Lohals via Tranekær to Stengade Beach and runs along the west coast for much of its length. Between Dageløkke and Lohals, the Øhavsstien follows the coast with views of Funen; the sea is constantly present. In the immediate surroundings, a 2-kilometre walking route following the traces of the Bromme cultures leads through Hov Østerstrand and along the northern coast of Langeland.

Forest Trails and Dark-Sky Experiences

Forest trails also offer their own highlights. In Vestre Stigtehave, there is a 3.3-kilometre forest walk with views of the Great Belt and the coast of Funen. The 3.3-kilometre yellow Dark-Sky hiking route there runs through dense beech forest and opens up to the sky along the way. It begins either at Hollænderhus or at Lohals Nordstrand. Near Lohals, there is also an app-guided hike that connects the forest, beach and harbour environment.

Bike Rides with Flexible Length

For a bike ride, the approximately 36-kilometre Herregårdsruten leads from Rudkøbing to Lohals. It is suitable for both regular bicycles and electric bikes. Public transport is available in Lohals, so the Herregårdsruten can be shortened for a shorter tour. This gives you the choice between a longer route and a more compact bike ride, without prescribing a specific stage plan.
